Egbert Lucas Johannes, Coordinator for transavia.com

Nationality: Dutch

Was BlueLink International CZ your first big professional experience in Prague?

After turbulent period in my life I decided to come to Czech Republic 4 and half years ago. My first job here was as a chef in a hotel/restaurant, where I worked 2 years. After that I became manager at café Amsterdam which has to close down this year in January due to economical reasons.

How did you find out about the company and what motivated you to join BLICZ?

I heard about BlueLink through a good friend of mine and he told me they were looking for Dutch speakers. Since the BlueLink Prague office is just around the corner from where I live, it looked like the perfect place to work, of course also the job description appealed to me.

How long have you been in BLICZ and how was your evolution during your experience?

So, I started training on the 11th of January 2011 and after a 4 days training started as Coordinator. Since I am kind of “old school”, I found it difficult in the beginning to handle all the programs but after some time, also with the help of more experienced colleagues I managed just fine.

How do you feel this work is contributing to your professional life and skills?

Now after 9 months I am doing quality control for the Dutch speakers and assisting the “newcomers” in the startup period. I have my hopes set on more responsibilities and therefore to contribute to the quality we have to deliver.

What are the biggest challenges?

As far as my ambitions and challenges, for the moment I am still learning every day but I am convinced that in the near future I can and will make a contribution to the company’s policy.
