Karen Ussene, Customer Care Coordinator for Air France and TransaviaNationality: Portuguese Was this internship with BlueLink International CZ your first real professional experience?Even thought I had a volunteer job at my University, and worked during the Summer time with children, this internship with BlueLink CZ is my first real professional experience. Why did you decide to come to Prague and what did you think of the city? The reason why I chose Prague to do my internship was a due to a friend of mine that I met one year ago, while we were both doing Erasmus in Nottingham. She spoke so much good stuff about Prague, that when this opportunity came, I decided to take a chance. What is the area of your academic studies? My degree is Languages, Literature and Culture, in English Studies (anglo-american). When you started to look for an internship, what were you looking for?Quite honestly, anything really. I’m still searching for the area that I want to work in. I’m interested on the Travelling area, booking service, working at the airport, or to be stewardess, so this was one way of approaching what I like. Did you know what the job here with BlueLink International CZ consisted of?More or less yes, I knew at least that it was related to lost luggage of Air France/KLM, and booking service for Transavia, the rest of the details were filled in during my phone interview, and then during my training in the company. Did you feel a language skill improvement because you are using other languages? Not really, I’ve been studying English, for years, and last year I was studying in Nottingham, U.K., so no changes in that area. How was your evolution during your BLICZ experience? It was alright. After a few weeks of picking up calls, I was trained to do other tasks in the company, like the other agents and had a steady evolution. What are the best things about working in such a business? You learn how to work under stressful moments, and manage to work under pressure. This working experience will definitely be a great experience for my CV. Not only will I have the Contact Center experience, but most importantly Customer Care Service to help Clients. |
