Testimonial from Emmanuelle Roisin-Rogie, INFA Tourism Director (training association in Nogent-sur-Marne)

1/ What does your partnership with BlueLink Paris consist in?

Our association, INFA, was created in 1945. With 36 centres across France, we train 16,600 people every year in 6 fields: Tourism, Social Problems, Sales, Hotel Business, Multimedia and Art.

INFA has trained staff for the tourism sector for 35 years. Today, we have 800 trainees in Tourism in the Paris Region alone.

We started working with BlueLink Paris in 2008 when we launched the ‘Travel Agent Training’ programme leading to a secondary school diploma delivered by the French Ministry of Education.

Later, we worked together on the ‘Telesales Assistance and Advice’ Certificate delivered to part-time trainees along with their one-year university degree.

2/ Why is part-time training with BlueLink Paris a good idea?

Part-time training in general allows young people to do paid work, obtain a diploma for free and gain real-world experience.
It is a ‘win-win’ situation for BlueLink Paris, for young people and for our training centres. The company gets talented people. The young ones can flap their wings for the first time in their first job. And our training centres get motivated trainees whose projects reflect their programmes.
Together with BlueLink Paris, we help young people obtain the following diplomas:
- ‘Bilingual Customer Advisor’ (inbound calls): guidance and advice to customers.  The main skills you can learn with this part-time training programme include: sales skills, English for tourism, telephone skills.
-  ‘Telesales Agent’ (outbound calls): sales skills, customer service skills, English for work, etc.

3/ After 3 years, what do you think of your partnership?

Good results. We have trained 35 young people since 2008, with a 95% exam pass rate in 2008 and 2009. Most of them have found a job, either with BlueLink Paris or with another company in the air travel and tourism industries.

One of the secrets of this success is mentor engagement. Mentors guide trainees through the whole process, helping them put theory into practice and learn the necessary skills.

BlueLink Paris Human Resources organise a graduation ceremony every year. This event is very popular. It is a great way to end an eventful year by recognising the efforts of all the graduates, mentors, BlueLink Paris teams and INFA trainers who helped make this success happen.
